This is a hard book to judge how many stars to give. It is a GREAT story but yet it did have some con's that were hard to overlook.

Danis mother just died after a fight with breast cancer. Dani is the last daughter of god now. She doesn't know it yet but the whole existence of humanity relies on her survival.

Gabrielle is one of the four archangels god created. Gabrielle has stood OUTSIDE the gates of heaven for millions of years as punishment for not killing his brother Lucifer when he had the chance. Gabrielle has been sent on a mission by god to protect Dani, the last daughter of god, and kill Lucifer once and for all. Gabrielle must not fail, for if he succeeds he will be let into the gates of heaven again. Gabrielle has no idea how hard he is going to fall for the daughter of god and just how much he will be willing to give up for her survival.

I rate books ONLY on how fast I devour them. This one was done in 1 1/2 days (pretty fast). Was it the best book I ever read?....NO. Was it an entertaining, romantic read....VERY. Here are some pro's and con's you may want to consider before reading:

PROS:

-- I am a huge fan of paranormal books but I find it difficult to find books in this genre that AREN'T Young Adult or Erotica. This book is nice for those of us who don't want all that silly porno sex but don't want young adult first love BS either. This is somewhere in-between. The characters are in their early 30's if I had to guess.

-- I am not religious but yet I understood and even enjoyed the bible talk in this book and the religion.

-- Tate Jackson introduces Dani from this book to some of the characters from her other book "Undead Heart". Which was great if you have read her stuff and are a fan.

-- Gabrielle the archangel is a hunk!

-- Very good love story

CONS:

-- I had major issues with the way Dani came across on paper. She is a female boxer, she punches men & women in the face when she gets angry, she curses constantly, hangs out in shady bars and has an ex boyfriend who abused her. My problem with this is: it's hard to see why an archangel who is millions of years old and has NEVER been in love before fell for such a woman. Yes she is visually pretty on paper but the tough girl attitude is brutish and unfeminine.

-- Gabrielle the archangel kept calling Dani "Woman". This to me did not fit his character and neither did the potty mouth.

-- There are grammatical errors in this book that you will notice and have to work around.

-- Too many unnecessary characters that were used to make you feel as if you were part of a family unit and to fill in lack of story.

-- Predictable ending (I like that but some people don't)

Hope this helps. This is a good beach read or great romantic novel. Tate Jackson has a way of making you feel like you know this family and you are one of them.

The book was easy reading and overall I enjoyed the story line. A mix of Christian and fantasy ideas, but a sweet romance, too. The book did need some proof reading. I would read Stephanie's other books.
Bought this at the reduced price. Well worth it. This is my first time reading this author.
I enjoyed the tension created by the characters. I think the ending was a bit drawn out,
but overall an easy, entertaining read.
A love story with so many twists and turn it will leave you breathless. A truly unique way to prove God's infinite love for all of humanity. With the knowledge that God has a plan for all of us. Well done I think I have found a new author to add to my list of must reads
i read the 1st book and it was pretty good but the second one had me hooked. The female charter was strong- headed and strong minded in her believes but was not a prissy woman when it came down to protect her man and the people she loved. Their story was great and had humor. The sections about God was not in your face but explained alot. over all this was a pretty good book. There were some editing issuses but not like the first.
To me this story is a definite 5 star book. I attended a Catholic School growing up in the 40's and it was a very structured and strict atmosphere. This story should be read by all those that attended these schools during this era and I think they would find this story very amusing and captivating. The Angels Gabriel and Michael along with their "human" friend are unique and enjoyable. I would hope that the people of my time will read this story and enjoy it as much as I did. The author took a subject and humanized it for those of us that were brought up in a very strict environment. pertaining to religious beliefs. I feel the author wanted to present a story that would create some interesting conversations, and it has, and I love it. I personally hope that Gabriel and Michael are as much fun as they were made out to be. An excellent story/
I love the bible and the word held therein, however, if angels could have romance in their lives this is what I would hope it would be like.

Dani is a tough young lady that has lost her mother to cancer. She had never known her father but she did not have anything pleasant to remember about him. She had an a--hole for a former boyfriend but she was trying to move on. At her lowest moment, in steps this hunk of a man/angel that is named Gabriel. He informs her of her heritage and his need to protect her. There was an immediate attraction but Gabriel had another agenda.

An intriguing storyline that has this reader wishing for a real guardian angel like Gabriel. The story deals with restoration of spirit and a glimpse into what a spiritual war could look like with a love to last a lifetime.

Great read with a lot of heat from above and below...I enjoyed reading this and would read other books by this author.
When I saw this book, I was not sure that I should buy it but when I read the little blurb, I was intrigued. I am very glad that I did purchase it because it was wonderful. Having grown up attending a religious school, I could relate to many of the references in the story. I loved the fact that the angels were so common but with that arrogance that would be natural for a superior being. The author made me love and hate Gabriel at the same time. I thought how she played out the roles and relationships of the four archangels were very interesting. It was fun having some of the paranormal beings in the story that actually made sense and helped fill in some of the gaps. I did not see the ending coming out the way it did and that was a big surprise. This book is certainly worth reading if you like stories about angels, hope and forgiveness. I really enjoyed the entire book and there was nothing in it that I would change, it was a very good story that captured me from the beginning.
